There is an extraordinary uniqueness that makes our family shine. It also makes Sugar Creek the loving, warm and joyful spirit that radiates within the hearts and on the faces of its members. Our love and positive attitude is what has brought us, what will take us, and will keep us glowing, growing and pleasing the Lord.
We thank God for our congregation and we are proud of our heritage. May God continue to bless the Sugar Creek family and the Churches of Christ the world over.
Come and visit our services, and learn how important the understanding of the word of God, the Bible, is to us here. You will enjoy the atmosphere at our services, where the only expectations we have on you as a visitor is to feel welcome.
The People
The family at Sugar Creek Church of Christ runs the full gamut in terms of people and personalities. God created each one of us a little different, and we celebrate those differences! We are unified by a common Savior, for a common goal! We want to be God's people. We want to be Christ's church. Though we as individuals fall short in so many ways (Romans 3:23), we have hope in the transformative power of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his Holy Word.
Worship Service
If you are present on Sunday, the Lord's Day, you will observe the congregation having prayer (1 Timothy 2:8), singing hymns and spiritual songs (Hebrews 2:12), partaking in the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), preaching the Gospel (Acts 5:42), and giving (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).
The Bible Is Our Only Guide
The Bible is the textbook to which reference is repeatedly made in our classes and sermons. Special emphasis is placed on that part of the Bible known as the New Testament (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 1:16). You will never be asked to accept what some man says about the Bible; we want you to read the Bible for yourself to see "whether those things are so" (Acts 17:11).
Salvation In Christ (Steps of Salvation)
You will hear obedience to the will of Christ emphasized as necessary to salvation: faith in Christ as taught in the gospel (Romans 10:17); believing that message (I Cor 15) repentance (Luke 24:47); confession of faith in Christ (Romans 10:9-10); and baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Remain faithful in service to God. (Hebrews 10:23)
If there should be a response from someone in the audience to the appeal mentioned above, you will see them taken to a pool of water where, in simple likeness to the burial of Christ, they will be buried in water and raised to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3-4).
Be Our Guest
